With a dedicated and knowledgeable staff, Zelvak offers a wide range of high-quality products, including food, toys, and pet wellness items.
The store is designed to make both pets and their owners feel at home, and the team is always ready to offer expert advice and guidance.
Project Scope
As a professional graphic designer (grafični oblikovalec), I was tasked with creating a fresh and modern look for Zelvak's pet store. This comprehensive graphic design (grafično oblikovanje) project included:
New Logo Design: Developing a logo that captures the essence of the brand.
Storefront Design: Creating an inviting and vivid storefront to attract new customers.
Custom Merchandise: Designing branded items like tote bags and promotional materials.

Logo Design
The final logo features a friendly turtle icon, symbolizing the brand name "Želvak" (which means "turtle" in Slovenian). The simpler design effectively conveys the message and aligns with the overall feel of the brand, pleasing the client and setting the tone for the store's fresh and modern branding.
Brand Identity and Color Scheme
Color Selection: Green was chosen as the primary color to represent the natural and organic aspects of the brand. Three accent colors were added for social media to provide visual interest and variation.
Visual Identity: By using different colors for various topics within the brand, we created a cohesive and understandable visual identity, making it easier for customers to differentiate between products and services.
Custom Merchandise
Branded merchandise, such as tote bags, was designed to promote the brand and provide customers with functional items that reinforce brand recognition.
Storefront Design
The new storefront is much more vivid and inviting for new customers, featuring a modern design and bright color scheme. The updated design enhances curb appeal and reflects the friendly atmosphere inside the store.

Personal Reflection
Working on this project over a short period was a challenge, but having creative freedom allowed me to explore new techniques and styles. Despite initial setbacks, iterating on ideas was necessary to achieve a final product that met my high standards. This experience contributed to my growth as a graphic designer.
