Project Overview
Centauri is an imaginary brand specializing in self-defense items crafted from resin, targeted primarily toward females. With a mission to empower individuals and provide affordable, fashionable self-defense tools, Centauri's products, like the Resin Knuckles, combine functionality with style. For this project, I focused on building a compelling brand identity that resonates with the target audience's desire for safety, independence, and aesthetic appeal.
Logo
For the logo, I focused on two major aspects:
Emphasizing self-defense with a powerful yet elegant typeface to symbolize independence.
Targeting young female adults, with a design that balances fashion and femininity.
Color
For the color palette, I drew inspiration from the night sky, selecting and modifying hues that evoke a celestial aesthetic. These colors not only enhance the brand’s visual appeal but also reinforce its connection to the galaxy-inspired name.
Brand Guidelines
With the brand book complete, I selected two key spreads to showcase, focusing on typography, colors, and visual elements. One notable feature I introduced is a pattern design, adding depth and versatility to the brand’s identity. Additionally, I incorporated a recurring shooting star motif, a simple yet powerful design element that unifies the Centauri brand.
